Product Description

The primary advantage of using carbon graphite tubes for a project, vs. fiberglass or metal, is its high stiffness to weight ratio. Carbon fiber tubes are stiff and very lightweight, making them ideal for rigid frame construction. These carbon fibers pultruded carbon tubes are linearly oriented, so linear strength is maximized. There is some flexibility to the carbon tubes depending on diameter (small diameter carbon tubes are more flexible than large diameter carbon tubes).

 

Pultruded carbon tubes, also known as graphite tubes or unidirectional carbon fiber tubes, are used in many industrial applications and aerospace designs, as well as in hobbies such as RC airplanes and RC sailboats, dual line kites and single line kites, and just about anywhere else you want a stiff, strong tube.

 

Inner diameter, or wall thickness, can fluctuate .008in. plus or minus from sizes indicated.

 

These carbon tubes are made in the USA.
