FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are the products new or used?
Most items are new old stock from the original Kite Stop retail inventory. Some products come from private collections and may be new, lightly flown, or in collectible condition. Each listing includes a detailed condition description.
What does “new old stock” mean?
It means a product is unused and in original condition, but was manufactured years ago and may no longer be in production. These items are often highly valued by collectors.
Can I sell my kite collection through Kite Stop?
Yes. You can sell outright, consign, or donate items. We help evaluate the collection, photograph it, and present it properly to collectors.
How do donated collections support the American Kitefliers Association?
Some families and flyers donate kites to be sold with 100 percent of proceeds going to the AKA. These items are clearly marked as “AKA Benefit Collection.” It’s a great way to preserve a legacy and support the kite community.
How often do you add new inventory?
New items are added regularly as we sort through old inventory and bring in new collections. Join the email list to get early access to rare releases.
